  Senate Bill 09-087 (“SB09-087”) places new legal requirements on all special districts organized or acting pursuant to the provisions of article 1 of title 32, Colorado Revised Statutes. Districts formed pursuant to other statutory authority (for example, water conservancy districts, library and cemetery districts, and business/local improvement districts) are not subject to SB09-087.

  SB09-087 amends the Special District Act to specify that notice for every regular and special meeting of the board be posted at least a full 72 hours prior to the meeting.
